Italians and the Perfect Wedding Photo
Italians are very fond of wedding photos and a lot of effort is invested in finding the best wedding location from a photographic point of view.
Italian wedding photos never cease to amaze me. Contrary to the development in Denmark, Italy still has photo shops with professional portrait photographers. And their window displays show the most indecently glamourous, romantic and slightly kinky compositions with so much Vaseline on the lens that your eyes glaze over.
The same larger than life photos decorate the living room in many private homes, so there is no doubt Italians in general appreciate the artwork, and a lot of effort is invested in finding the best wedding photo locations.
The most popular backdrops are castles, archeological sites, picturesque townscapes and national monuments, where you can frequently come across fully dressed brides and grooms with a hard-working army of still photographers, video photographers and photographer assistants. Here are some examples from various parts of Italy.
