Amaretto apple pie

Readymade almond macaroons can be used as a magic wand over all kinds of baking. Like this amaretto apple pie.
I am kind of fascinated by the use of biscuits in cakes. So when I saw this recipe in an Italian cooking magazine, I had to try it. I have simplified the procedures and adjusted the measures, as the original recipe seemed rather heavy. It worked brilliantly. The cake remained appetizing for about 5 days, when the last crumbs were gone.
Preparation
Peel and core the apples and cut them in thin wedges
Mix the honey with apple wedges.
Add raisins and vanilla sugar to the apple and honey mixture
Soften the butter with an electric mixer, mix with brown sugar and 8 apple wedges.
Add flour, spelt and baking powder and mix well
Add the yoghurt to the mixture along with one egg at a time
Line a springform pan with baking paper or grease it with butter
Pour the cake mixture into the pan
Top with raisins, honey fried apple wedges and crushed amaretti biscuits
Bake the amaretto apple pie at 180 C /350 F for 40 minutes.
